Lumos performed survey, geotechnical, structural, and civil design services to facilitate the development of a 72,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility just outside of Carson City. This project was delivered as a design-build, requiring Lumos and the architect to work closely with the contractor and subcontractors throughout the design and permitting process. The project development consisted of site grading, traffic circulation, loading dock, parking lot, drainage infrastructure, and on-site utilities (water, sewer, electrical, and storm).
Project challenges included managing the earthwork balancing and grading due to the steep site as well as water main upgrades to facilitate fire flow demands of the project.
The project has been permitted and is breaking ground for construction with Lumos performing construction assistance, staking, material testing, and special inspections.
