Lumos is working with RTC Washoe to determine alternatives for the widening of Military Road, between Lemmon Drive and Echo Avenue.

For this project, our team is producing an alternatives analysis report, which will address three solutions inclusive of Right-of-Way acquisition, drainage impacts, cost, and safety improvements. Civil design solutions will enhance this road for pedestrians, drivers, and bicyclists through a shared-use path. Grading will include drainage, utility coordination, and an ADA-compliant design. Through this work, RTC Washoe and the City of Reno will be able to move forward with a preliminary design that best serves the community.

Final design for the widening of Military Road is expected to be completed in 2025 with construction beginning in 2025/2026.
